Candela Breaks Electric Boating Record

In September, the Candela team made significant strides in sustainable boating by setting a new record for the longest day trip in an electric boat —the Candela C-8. Equipped with a Kempower portable DC fast charger, they were able to recharge swiftly, completing a 150-nautical-mile journey across the Baltic Sea in a single day. This achievement highlights Candela’s commitment to advancing electric boating technology and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in eco-friendly marine travel.

See it in action in this video they made documenting the entire journey!

The new, 2.0 software update will be rolling out for all X-Shores soon, here's what to expect:

  • Charging Accessibility: The latest advancements now offer more flexibility and ensure seamless integration as the network of electric charging stations grows. Better yet, the update makes it easier than ever to

recharge on land or trailer.

  • Troubleshooting Effectiveness: The new update will have an improved remote diagnostic system, for enhanced fault detection and analysis. This means

less time troubleshooting and more time on the water.
